This season we have a new boat available for our sail training courses. 'Max' is a fast, comfortable cruiser/racer built by Maxi Yachts of Sweden. She's 10.5 metres long and has accommodation for six in three cabins.
Max is the ideal boat for South Coast Sailing's courses. She allows us to provide the ideal safe but versatile sailing experience for crews of anything from two to six but is ideal for our preferred teaching ratio of 4+1 or less.
This year the school also has a new principal instructor -
Bob Trimble will lead the majority of our practical sailing courses on 'Max' in 2008.
Denis Johnson and his boat 'Trombone' are still very much on the scene and we are ably supported by our Chief Instructor Gordon Agnew who also leads our RYA shore-based training courses -
so we have an even stronger team than ever for 2008 and we're looking forward to some great sailing! |
